Despite homebrewers’ steadily growing numbers, they didn’t have a truly great place to find fresh, quality, home-brew supplies in Columbus. Patrick was often frustrated by this problem and set about fixing it. He spent a year setting up his supply chains, usually going directly to the source to bring his customers savings.
The Supply Shop stocks a wide variety of grains. They are measured out by the pound, or ounce, depending on what your recipe calls for and can be milled on the spot in the shop, so they’re as fresh as possible when you want to brew. The extract arrives in bulk and is then measured out to exactly your needs, as small as our scale can measure anyway. You get it in a re-usable HDPE jar, but don’t throw that out! You can bring back and exchange them each and every time to avoid paying for packaging. The hops come straight from Washington, except for a few, which are imported from Europe, in mini-bales which are parceled out into vacuum-sealed packages and kept frozen until you need them. Equipment is kept well-stocked for everyone from the first-timer looking to get started to the experienced brewer who just needs a replacement.
